14 Days of Fangirling-Days 13-14: Bias Wreckers and Favorite Drama Moments

I don’t know why, but the topics for these last two days of fangirling make me laugh so much but they do. I think it might have something to do with the fact that they’re forcing me to own up to just how fangirly I am, but who knows? It’s not like my fangirly side is some major secret I’m afraid to show the world. ㅋㅋㅋ

Day 13 asks which up and coming actor is currently messing up my bias list. This makes me laugh so much because it seems like they’re ALL messing with my bias list. How do I pick just one new bias wrecker to fangirl over? It’s such a hard decision to make! Of course now that I really sit and think about it, one very adorable bias wrecker comes to mind and that would be Nam Joo Hyuk.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve swooned over this boy in the past year alone. Between his role as the beautiful, sensitive prince, Baek Ah, in Scarlet Heart: Ryeo and adorable punk, Jung Joon Hyung, in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, I’ve been in a fair fangirl fit. (I know he was in Cheese in the Trap this past year as well but honestly, I’m still trying to forget the fact that drama even exists.) Since the end of Weightlifting Fairy it seems like everywhere I turn, I find Nam Joo Hyuk somewhere. From social media feeds, to much appreciated photo spam from friends, this little punk is everywhere which means no matter how hard I try, I just can’t escape his beautiful bias wrecking smile. And let’s not even talk about all those ridiculous swimmer scenes in Weightlifting Fairy! Oh dear gracious! I swear, my poor zombie heart just isn’t equipped to deal with such beauty! I nearly fell out of my chair every time that kid was shirtless! (Whew! Is it getting warm in here or is it just me?)

Before I write myself into a swoon so intense I end up on the floor, let me move on to Day 14 and talk about my favorite drama scene. Again I find myself laughing and it’s only because my answer to this question proves just how hopeless I am. While there have been many drama scenes, over the years, that I’ve loved, the one that most vividly sticks in my mind at this particular moment is from a much more recent drama. It involves my all-time favorite actor and another up and coming actress whom I love and if you know me at all, you know exactly which scene I’m about to mention. Yup, that’s right. It’s this one:

*siiiiigggghhhhhh*

I know I probably shouldn’t be as moved by this scene as I am but I just can’t seem to help myself. The emotion in this moment, combined with the knowing that what’s going to follow is going to tear my heart out and make me sob for the next 20 years and the fact that Gong Yoo is probably the best darn kisser in all of Dramaland, makes me feel more flippy, squiggly, dancing, warm-fuzzy butterflies in my soul than any other scene in the whole of the Dramaverse. I won’t even attempt to count how many times I’ve watched just this gif alone. I’ll just say that this is my all-time favorite moment in any drama ever and move on. (Just let me watch this kiss one… more… time…)

So there you have it. My take on Dramas With a Side of Kimchi’s 14 Days of Fangirling. I hope you’ve had as much fun as I have, fangirling together over all sorts of things these past couple of weeks. Of course before I wrap up, I have to ask you which up and coming bias wreckers you’ve been squealing over lately and you really need to tell me which drama scene is your favorite so maybe I can find myself a new favorite and finally pry myself away from Goblin: The God of Great Kisses. (Though I’m not sure that’s actually possible…) Whether it is or not, feel free to fangirl with me in the comments below!
