A Zombie’s Work is Never Done

As a mamma, there are some days when it seems like no matter how hard I work, I just can’t get everything done that needs to be done. Today is one of those days. It’s been over a month now since the big move and while things have settled down there’s still so much I feel like I have to do. When you add the moving “have-tos” to the normal, everyday “have-tos” of a zombie mamma it just feels like I’m fighting a battle I cannot win. No matter how hard I try, there is always more to be done.

I suppose this is the plight of every mamma, not just the recently relocated ones. Is there ever a time when a mamma can sit back and say, “there’s nothing more to do?” I think not. If there is, I’d very much like to meet you and learn all of your secrets!

For the rest of us, those of us who just can’t seem to get conquer the mountain of work that is constantly looming before us, I offer this little piece of encouragement…Hang in there! It doesn’t all have to be done in a day! Do what you can and don’t stress about the rest. If your house is like mine, everything you didn’t get done today will still be there tomorrow so go ahead, take a break and relax, even if it’s only for a second. It’s always easier to handle the demands of life with a zombie horde after you’ve had a little break so make a little time to step back and breathe. You’ll feel better if you do and your horde will probably appreciate it as well. I mean let’s be honest, be they young or old, no one likes a cranky zombie.
