friends

Hallyu Tanya and I are back with our weekly review of Boarding House No. 24 and since I know you’re all as excited to chat about this week’s episode as we are, let’s get to it!

So tell us, what did you think of this week’s episode? Were you as creeped out by “Dad” and Bang In as I was or were you okay with their weird father-son bonding moments? What did you think of Do Hee and Dong Joon? Did you enjoy watching those two together or was that just us? Are you at all concerned that this new friendship might come between Do Hee and Sa Eun and Dong Joon or do you think that’s the way it’s supposed to be? What about the banter between Hyun Young and Sa Eun this week? Do you think those two have the potential to be friends and if they do, will that friendship be beneficial to either of them? As always, we want to know what you’re thinking so be sure to leave us a comment below!

  1. I’m hoping for a sismance between HyunYoung and Sa Eun. 🙂

I wasn’t creeped out by the father-son moments – they were pretty funny. The person who creeps me out is that thug girl and her forcing herself on BangIn with violence threats and physical abuse. That’s just not cool.

Do Hee and Dong Jun make awesome buddies. I don’t see a romantic spark, so no worries there. I was surprised at DongJun being unemployed when he’s mentioned taking classes, and when that hospital owner wants him working as security.

Also, how do any of these people live? Especially BangIn: does he have a stipend from the government or something?

    1. You know, I’ve been wondering the same thing. How do any of these people survive when they have no obvious source of income? I guess Hyun Young gets some sort of allowance from her parents but that was supposed to be used for school tuition. Do Hee is a vlogger but I know from experience that doesn’t make you money unless you’re really, insanely popular. Jae Hwan is an intern so I suppose he could be making money from that but not all internships are paid (as in a whole lot of them aren’t) so where is he getting his money? His father said he was cut off so maybe his mom is slipping him some cash on the side? I don’t even have a theory on the others. Dong Joon has no job but he goes to school. Sa Eun does nothing but hunt for rich men and Bang In is also nothing more than a crazy Tiny G fan. It’s weird that they all have money when they do nothing to make any.

I’m glad you don’t see a romantic spark between Do Hee and Dong Joon because I really don’t want one to be there. I think they make a great pair of friends but nothing more. It’s nice to see Do Hee coming out of her shell and I’m okay with Dong Joon being there to help her in that respect but I really want her and Jae Hwan to pair up because they’re just so darn cute! (I know, it’s a very logical reason. Haha.)

You’re right about Sam being a horrible person. She’s terrifying and I really want her to go away. Bang In deserves so much better than her!

      1. Btw, Hyunyoung got cut off 2 eps ago. So she’s broke too. And in debt, since she used her student loans to pay fpr her babies. It’s like a drug addiction.

Plus, in the first ep, Bang In ruined her Chanel bag, so he’s payimg her rent, again, how?

        1. She did get cut off, didn’t she? So really, how do any of these people afford rent? Or food? Or anything else? It doesn’t make sense to me but I’m just going to go with it and see what happens. I think sometimes, that’s really all you can do. Maybe they’ll all miraculously manage to get their lives together by the end of this show. We can hope, right? 🙂
