K-POP ATE HER BRAIN: Cross Gene “Billion Dolla”

group

As wide and varied as the world of K-Pop is, it’s not very often that zombies and K-Pop mix, so you can bet your boots that when they do, I’m going to have to take a second to squee about it!

the horde

Cross Gene has just released a zombie infested music video for their new song, “Billion Dolla”, which, after doing a little research, I found is actually the theme song for the boy’s upcoming film, ZEDD. I honestly don’t know much about the film, other than it’s all about “ZOMBIE x MUSIC x DANCE  SAVE THE WORLD” but I do know that if this video is any indication of what their film holds, I’m going to be scouring the farthest reaches of the internet in an attempt to get my hands on it. And why wouldn’t I? Any film that stars six gorgeous boys fighting off the zombie hordes with dance and music sounds like the perfection combination of The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers  and The Walking Dead which means watching it, I’ll probably die and go to nerdy fangirl heaven.

While the days leading up to the September 24 release of Cross Gene’s ZEDD drag on forever, I’ll have to content myself with watching the “Billion Dolla” video about a zillion times which is fine by me because I think the song is great! It’s catchy and dance-able and I’ll probably be singing the chorus for the next two weeks! (Fantastic!)

Of course I could be totally biased on this one, seeing as how I have that whole zombie thing going on, so I want to know what you think. Did you enjoy the “Billion Dolla” video as much as I did or am I just a little too crazy for the zombies? What do you think of Cross Gene’s adventures in the world of film? Do you think ZEDD has the potential to be something amazing or do you think it’ll flop? As always, I’d love to know your thoughts so be sure to leave me a comment below!

  1. You did NOT just mention my weakness LED. LOL.

I’ve always seen Cross Gene’s name, since they debuted the same year most of my faves did, but I didn’t realize they were so good-looking! Gotta look up who the hotness in the white tank is. 🙂

Oh my gosh, and they’re singing in English! The whole song! I don’t know what the phrase “Billion Dolla” has to do with zombies, but maybe the movie will enlighten me.

And, I don’t actually get why dancing would stop a zombie attack, but I’ll go with it. I actually prefer the version after the movie one–when they wear the suits. I’m a sucker for a suit. But the kids! Oh my gosh, little dancing kid zombies! It was a little jarring at first but they’re so darn cute!

The makeup looked a bit too realistic though. I’m a wimp. I’ll leave the zombies to you. 🙂

    1. I can’t believe I found another lover of LXD though really, why does this even surprise me? Haha!

I really don’t know how dancing or singing could ever stop a zombie invasion but I’m just gonna go with it. It’s kinda like LXD… How does dancing stop the bad guys? I have no idea but I love it anyway! I also love the boys in suits… Oh boy do I love those boys in suits! And the tiny zombies. Waaah! There’s so much in this video to love! 🙂

      1. Did I type LED? It looked wrong but I couldn’t figure out why?! Ugh. Anyway, yes dancing ALWAYS stops the bad guys. It’s a well known fact. And apparently it stops zombies too now. 🙂 Oh, and Madd Chadd is HOT!
        Just sayin.

        1. Haha! It’s all good. I always want to call them the League of Extraordinary Dancers, because The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen always comes to mind when I talk about LXD and my poor zombie brain gets so confused! Ha! Isn’t great that the world can be saved from bad guys and zombies just by dancing? It’s such a non-violent, non-destructive way to save the world! I guess this means I’d better brush up on my dance skills, just in case I ever have to defend myself from baddies and zombies… Or I could just make sure Madd Chadd is around to save me, because that would be flippin’ fantastic! (He’s always been my favorite part of LXD. Tall, talented, ridiculously good looking… What’s not to love?) 😉
