K-POP ONE-STOP: March 11-17, 2017

Is it just me or has this week dragged on for freakin’ ever? After dragging myself through this seemingly endless week, I’m so ready to celebrate the impending weekend with a playlist full of new music. Thank goodness I’ve got one all ready to go!

There were a few new tracks that especially caught my attention this week and Mad Clown’s new track is one of them. I had a feeling “Love is a Dog From Hell” would be good and it would seem I was right. (What are the odds?) Highlight’s new track was another that really caught my attention. I was expecting great things from these guys but I had no idea “It’s Still Beautiful” would be this great. It’s such a beautiful, emotional track which, really, makes a lot of sense, considering just how much these guys have gone through. Every time I listen to this track, I just wanna give every one of these boys a warm, squishy, “hang in there, you’re doing wonderfully and everything’s gonna be alright” hug. I think that track that most caught me off guard was Yang Hee Eun’s collaboration with AKMU, “The Tree.” I wasn’t expecting to be so moved by this one but I was and I think it’s absolutely beautiful. GOT7’s “Never Ever” remains at the top of my list of new favorites but I’ve already gushed enough over that one so I won’t say any more here. So Ji Sub’s surprise track was an unexpected treat and Snuper’s Japanese release, “Oh Yeah!” was a whole lot of fun. Being the dance practice junkie that I am, I loved the videos released by Victon, Romeo and SF9. As for rookies debuting this week, MVP has sufficiently wowed me with the release of “Take It” and I’m super excited to see what these boys have in store for us in the future. Of course just because I love something doesn’t mean you feel the same way. I’d love to hear which new releases are your favorites so be sure to let me know in the comments below!
