K-POP ONE-STOP: October 7-13, 2017

I know I’m a few days late with this latest playlist but OH MY GRACIOUS! Last week was one of those weeks when Mom Life takes over absolutely EVERYTHING and well, to be perfectly honest, I’m just happy I made it through without having a total meltdown! To celebrate the return of my somewhat normal schedule (and the fact that all the kids are back in school and I finally have a few minutes to myself) I thought I’d go ahead and share this new music playlist. After all, last week brought us some really, REALLY good music and it’d be a shame to miss out, just because my life had to go a little bit crazy. (And yes, I’m totally dancing like 2PM right now…)

I can’t even begin to start talking about all my new favorites. Well, I shouldn’t start anyway… But I can’t let this chance go by without mentioning how much I love, love, LOVE SF9’s new track. It’s such a great song and the video is everything I was hoping it would be and then some! It’s so aesthetically pleasing and the fact I caught myself yelling at the computer on more than one occasion just tells you how hard I’ve fallen for these boys. Rude little punks! Speaking of rude… Seventeen’s performance team seriously needs to chill! Okay, in all honesty, the entire group needs to chill but this latest performance team video is just too much for this poor zombie to handle! Sure, it was a most welcome distraction in the midst of a very chaotic and stressful week but OH MY WORD! Watching that video nearly gave me a heart attack! Just… DANG! And then there was GOT7’s new track, which was fantastic, as always. I kinda feel like all the chatter over Yugyeom and Mark’s hair has kind of distracted people from the track itself but maybe that’s just because I’ve spent a lot of time this past week laughing over all the ketchup and mustard memes. ㅋㅋㅋ TS Entertainment’s new group, TRCNG, debuted this past week and I have to say, I enjoyed their debut track. Sure, the video felt a bit dated and their sound is a bit of a BAP/TVXQ mashup but it works for me. I can’t get over the fact that at least one of the members looks like they could be the Jo Twin’s little brother. Every time he popped up on the screen, I had flashbacks to early Boyfriend (though maybe that had more to do with the outfits…) either way, I think this is one of those times when listening to the track without the distraction of the MV is a good thing. The song really is good, there’s just a lot going on in the video that inspires the mind to wander. Either that or this just proves my zombie brain really is prone to wander… Who knows?

Needless to say, I very much enjoyed this last week’s new music offerings. The question is, did you find any new tracks to add to your playlist? Let me know in the comments below!
