While I realize GD and Taeyang released “Good Boy” a couple of weeks ago it was right in the middle of my massive attack of VIXX feels and I didn’t really have a chance to squee properly at the time. I was a bit saddened by this because well, it’s G-Dragon and Taeyang and I just couldn’t understand how could I possibly miss an opportunity to squee over these two! I feel like I failed as a fangirl… *sobs* Lucky for me these two released a dance practice video for “Good Boy” on Monday so even if I’m a couple of days late with this, I can still make up for all the squees I missed the first time around. Yippee!
I’m not even sure where to begin with this one! There’s just so much I love! The song itself is absolutely everything I love about GD’s music. It’s unique and catchy and it instantly makes me want to dance, while the lyrics of the song… Augh! They melt my heart! GD has such a knack for writing lyrics that capture my heart. I think it’s because he’s the perfect embodiment of a tender-hearted bad boy. He has such a bad boy persona but when you look deeper, you find a heart that just wants to be loved and I’m such a sucker for that! That’s probably why I love GD as much as I do… Well, one of the reasons anyway. And then you’ve got Taeyang who, in my eyes, is the biggest sweetie ever and his voice instantly melts my heart, so listening to him sing is enough to make me die and go to fangirl heaven, but when he starts singing about being a prince on a white horse… Holy Buckets Batman!
Of course, with this being a dance practice video and all, I have to say something about the dancing which is absolutely everything I’d expect from GD. He has a style to his dancing that’s as unique as his personality and I love it. As in a whole flipping lot. There’s just something that gets to me when I watch him dance and I just get all silly and giddy and just… WAAAAAHHH! Yeah, I know, that doesn’t really describe things but that’s how it makes me feel. And I can’t even begin to describe how I feel with I watch Taeyang dance. Not even a WAAAAHHHH will cover it. Seriously! He’s just so… Just so… So… See? NO. WORDS. Just a whole lot of ASDFGHJKL! I think all of this has to do with the fact that I just like to watch these two move.(If that makes any sense at all.) They’re so very smooth and they have such a cool vibe about them, like if you could hang out with them you’d be in the coolest of cool group of cool kids and I’m so drawn to that. (I guess deep down I still have a desire to be one of the cool kids. Ha!)
Being the two idols I idolize the most (and not in the, “Oh my gosh I want to have your babies” kind of way but rather the, “Oh my gosh you’re so amazingly talented and cool, I wish I could be like you” kind of way), I could sing the praises of GD and Taeyang for the rest of forever but I’ll spare you my crazy fangirl ravings and end my spazzing with a very happy sigh of contentment. *happy sigh* GD and Taeyang have made me the happiest of fangirls with this collaboration of theirs and I hope to see more from them in the future because that would just be awesome. Not only would it give me a chance to squee over two of my favorite idols in one go, it’d also give me a chance to admire GD’s wardrobe and all the hats! Ugh! I have a weakness for hats and GD’s fashion in general. Seriously! What I wouldn’t give to be able to go shopping in that man’s closet! I mean did you see that coat he wore in the original “Good Boy” video?
Or the one he wore at the beginning of this year’s MAMA performance?

I’m beyond happy to have this new GD x Taeyang collaboration. I’m addicted to the song. I love the dance. I love them. The end. For real, this time. I think.

I love this new song and the dance is fantastic! I squeed so hard when the dance practice vid came out. I never get tired of watching Taeyang dance, he seems so happy when he is on stage dancing. So full of energy and joy. G-Dragon is a super star composer and front man. I wish that Big Bang would come out with a new album or at least a new song. It’s been so long since Fantastic Baby. TT.TT
Isn’t that every Big Bang fangirl’s ultimate dream come true? To have all of the boys release something together would be absolutely amazing! You’re right, it feels like forever since they released “Fantastic Baby”. Oh what I wouldn’t give for a new Big Bang album! I guess we’ll have to content ourselves with these solo albums and side projects. I still can’t believe it’s been over a year since GD released “Coup d’Etat”, Taeyang first released “Ringa Linga” and T.O.P released “Doom Dada”. Where has the time gone? Here’s hoping we have a new Big Bang album in the upcoming year. *fingers crossed*
