RELEASE THE FANGIRL: Oh Seventeen!

group

We all know I’m rather hopeless when it comes to fangirling. I can’t help myself, really. I mean I love music, I love theatrics, I love guys with really good hair… It’s like K-Pop was created just for me… Or I was born to love K-Pop??? Either way, K-Pop and I go together like peanut butter and chocolate, kimchi and sweet potatoes, pie and ice cream, coffee and… Well, you get the idea.

stop with the cute already

That being the case, there’s an ever-growing list of K-Pop groups out there that I love; not so much because I’m constantly on the search for a new group to add to that list but because groups just sort of creep their way into my heart. Even when I try to avoid a group, like… say… Seventeen… I still end up falling for them. Why? Because they all eventually end up doing something like this…

DID YOU SEE THAT!?! Did you!?!

Do I need to play it again? ‘Cause I totally will…

SCoupsOkay, okay! I’ll spare you that ridiculous overload of cute and move on. Or try to move on anyway… But it’s not working very well. In fact, it’s not working at all. You see, I find myself in this rather tormented place where I can’t move on at all because I’ve been lured in by 13 ridiculously cute, singing, dancing boys so darn adorable they’ve captured my attention and stolen my heart.

DARN YOU SEVENTEEN!

3And I was doing so well too! Well I thought I was doing well anyway. I mean I somehow managed to (somewhat) resist the urge to fall for them when they debuted back in May. I guess looking back I didn’t resist all that well. I admit, I found myself sneaking back to YouTube to watch Seventeen’s debut stage performances on more than one occasion and that special video of “Adore U” they released… You know, the one shot on the beach… Yeah… I may have watched that ridiculous bunch of cuteness way more times than I’d like to admit. But still… I refused to let these boys capture my heart completely.

WooziBut then they had to go and make a comeback with “Mansae” which is every bit as catchy as “Adore U” so of course I love it. But the video… Oh help! This video is so chock full of cute smirks and sweet smiles and subtle looks and killer hair and… OH DEAR GRACIOUS! Someone needs to put a stop to this mess of cuteness right now! Why didn’t anyone stop them!?! WHY!?! Didn’t they know this level of adorable would be the death of fangirls the world over!?! Yeah, I know, that’s kinda the point but C’MON! This level of cute in one video is really too much! Augh! Someone help me! I just can’t hold out against such a vicious onslaught of cute! I’m not strong enough! *sobs*Vernon 2

So thank you Seventeen! Thank you for weaseling your adorable selves into my heart and completely wrecking my bias list. It’s cool. That list was sorely lacking names anyway… 😉

  1. OMG I really need to stop coming here! I don’t need any more adorable little puppies in my life….well maybe just a few more LOL
They are just too cute!! I like the music and dance as well. Ugh here we go again.

    1. Hahaha! I hope you don’t stop visiting, I’d miss you! I’m glad you like Seventeen though. They really are way too adorable! I tried so hard to resist the cute but when you’re got 13 puppies all begging for attention, how can I say no? lol

  2. True true It is nearly impossible to stop. Now I have one more boy band to follow. Oh well It keeps my life interesting LOL They are so cute! I’m liking the gray/silver hair that is showing up on so many of the guys. It’s funny that no one to get old but silver hair is popular at the moment.

    1. I totally flipped when I saw Junghan’s long silver-ish hair. It reminded me of both Inuyasha and a gumiho. (I’m such a dork.) Haha. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stop loving boy groups. It sees like each one to debut is cuter than the ones that came before. It’s a vicious cycle but I love it! I’m such a glutton for punishment. LOL
