K-POP ONE-STOP: December 3-9, 2016

You know, nothing helps fight off a cold better than a playlist full of brand new music. Okay, so maybe chicken soup and vitamin C might be a little more practical for cold-fighting but the music helps make all those miserable hours, lying on the couch, imagining the death of the evil soul gave you this cold in the first place, more bearable. (Hey, what can I say, I get overly dramatic when I’m sick! Or maybe that’s just me all the time???) Continue reading “K-POP ONE-STOP: December 3-9, 2016”

TUESDAY’S TEASE: So Many Dramas, So Little Time

lee-joon-ki-1

The best thing about writing a post focused solely on all of the music and dramas that are soon to be released is that there is just SO MUCH to write about, especially this time of year. It seems like groups are constantly promoting new material and the dramas… Oh! The dramas! There are so many that have me squealing like the fangirl I am and they haven’t even started airing yet! Continue reading “TUESDAY’S TEASE: So Many Dramas, So Little Time”

K-POP ONE-STOP: October 29 – November 4, 2016

This past week brought with it a whole slew of new K-Pop music videos, several of which I’d been looking forward to with anxious anticipation, which is probably why I’m so excited to share this week’s playlist with you! (Seriously, I’m bouncing in my chair as I write this, I’m that giddy!) Continue reading “K-POP ONE-STOP: October 29 – November 4, 2016”

K-POP ONE-STOP: October 22-28, 2016

I think October may be my favorite month. Not only does it bring with it all the wonderful, warm-fuzzy inducing goodness of fall but it also brings an overwhelming number of K-Pop releases. Despite the fact the month is almost over, the music hasn’t slowed down in the least; which means I’ve got another playlist full of goodness just for you!

While I refuse to claim any one track as my favorite, I’m more than ready to squeal over several of them. Lay’s solo track is probably at the top of my list, as I’ve been waiting for this since he teased us with a glimpse of it at the end of his last solo MV, “What U Need.” Right up there with Lay is BASTARZ’s “Selfish & Beautiful Girl.” While the track doesn’t possess the hard-hitting goodness I was originally expecting from Block B’s only sub-unit, it’s still a great song and it really makes me excited for the full album release. Well, that and the teasers for the trio’s “Make it Rain” MV… I have a feeling that’s going to be the MV that brings us all the original BASTARZ elements we love. Of course I spent a good deal of time this week being mesmerized by the beauty of INFINITE’s newest “The Eye” dance practice video. I swear, these boys produce the most beautiful dance videos I’ve ever seen. Also on my list of music  I’m enjoying this week are the OST releases. I’m beyond happy that Monsta X’s track for Shopping King Louis is finally out in both the original and acoustic version. Jay Park, Hyolyn, TWICE… There’s list of great new music out this week goes on and on. I really could keep talking about them all for a very, very long time but I won’t. Instead I’ll ask you which tracks are your favorite. Are there any you’ll be adding to your own K-Pop playlist this week? Let me know in the comments below!

I love Fridays! Have I ever mentioned that? I think I have… Somewhere… Maybe… Whether I have or haven’t doesn’t really matter. What does matter is the fact that I’ve got another playlist full of brand new music. Woohoo! (Hey, if that isn’t reason to celebrate, I don’t know what is!) MOVIE OF THE MONTH – Alice: Boy From Wonderland

alice-movie-poster

In my ongoing quest to spice things up a bit around here, I’ve decided it might be a good idea to throw a monthly film review into the mix. There are an awful lot of films out there, just waiting to be watched and reviewed and since I watch a lot of them already, I figured I might as well take a little time to write about them. Because, why not? That being said, I’ve decided that Alice: Boy From Wonderland would be a pretty good film to start with mostly because it’s a creepy mental thriller that fits perfectly with all of the pre-Halloween shenanigans going on at my house at the moment. K-POP ONE-STOP: May 21-27, 2016

I know it’s been about a month since I last posted a playlist but that’s what you get when you travel the world! (Or just North America, as the case may be.) Despite my world-traveling slacker ways, I’m finally back home and oh, so ready to catch up on all the K-Pop I’ve missed over the past month! With that being the case, I’m gonna shut up and dive straight into the music. Woo! Continue reading “K-POP ONE-STOP: May 21-27, 2016”

K-POP ONE-STOP: March 26 – April 1, 2016

Block B 1

After being gone for a week, it feels great to be back. (Though the sense of guilt I feel anytime I’m not writing is always very real… Plight of the blogger, I suppose.) Anyway, I’ve been busy trying to get my real life back in order so I can get back into the groove of things which means I’ve been busy, busy, busy today. Even so, I’ve managed to sneak away from life long enough to put together a collection of this week’s newest K-Pop MVs into this week’s playlist. Woohoo! Continue reading “K-POP ONE-STOP: March 26 – April 1, 2016”
