Remember all those promises I made, about how change was coming and all that. Well, I’ve decided to start a new weekly post highlighting whatever Hallyu-related thing it is I’m most looking forward to at the moment. This could be anything from an upcoming drama (or maybe just an upcoming episode), or a bias group’s comeback, or maybe an upcoming movie that’s actually going to be shown here in Chicago, or maybe a concert… Really, it could be anything that stirs my fangirl soul, or inspires me to create a countdown clock on my phone. (Because yes, I am that level of fangirl crazy.)
With that being said, there’s a whole lot I’m squeeing over at the moment which means I could ramble on for ages; but that’s not really what I want to do. I’d much rather sit here and sigh over all of the pretty BTS has been teasing us with over these last few weeks… *siiiigggghhhhh*
Call me crazy but I think BTS has definitely mastered the art of the concept photo tease. They’ve also mastered the art of the cryptic yet beautiful short films (which I’ve watched more times than I can count) and have also mastered the ability to kill a fan in less than three minutes. Don’t believe me? Go watch Hobie’s comeback trailer then come back and tell me if you’ve survived.
I’m not really sure why BTS has chosen the long and painful route for this “WINGS” comeback but I’m not really going to complain. Having a constant supply of new BTS material to squee over has been a whole lot of fun, even if it does mean my death is drawing steadily closer.
As excited as I am to die by BTS’ hands, they’re not the only group I’m excited by at the moment. No, SHINee has been doing a very good job of making me more than a little giddy at the moment and for good reason. It feels like ages since these guys have made a group comeback and I was really needing a new SHINee fix. I have to say, the teaser photos they’ve released have been a great way to satisfy my SHINee cravings…
*happy sigh* I just love comebacks, don’t you?
While they haven’t inspired quite the same level of fangirling as BTS and SHINee, there are a couple of rookie groups teasing us at the moment and I have to say, their efforts have paid off. I’m very much looking forward to the debut of both FNC’s new group, SF9, and Cube’s rookies, Pentagon. Will these groups have what it takes to make it in such a competitive world? I have no idea, but I’m certainly excited to see what they bring to the party. After all, there’s always room for more groups on my bias list!
I know there’s been so much teasing over the past couple of weeks, it’s been almost too much to keep up with, but that hasn’t stopped me from trying.
