TUESDAY’S TEASE: EXO’s First Sub-Unit, Mermaids and the Whispered Promise of a BIGBANG Comeback

exo-subunit

Tuesdays have suddenly become a favorite of mine, mostly because I get to sit here and squee over all of the upcoming K-Dramas and K-Pop comebacks I’m most looking forward to. It’s really a very exciting thing, scouring the internet for all of the goodies that come with comebacks and drama premiers, especially when you come up with a list full of personal favorites. (I feel like I’ve hit the fangirl jackpot or something!)

schedule-o-death

It seems only fitting that I start off by swooning a little over the teaser photos B.A.P has been slowly dropping since last night. (Well, it was last night here in Chicago anyway.) Thanks to the handy “schedule o’death” B.A.P released last week, I knew these photos were coming. Unfortunately that knowledge didn’t do a bit of good in preparing me for the release of said photos.

Nope! Not one bit! I so wasn’t prepared to handle this and I know I’m not going to fare any better with the release of the other four individual photos and whatever group photos are headed our way. And let’s not even talk about the MV teaser! Once that sucker drops, I’m gone. Though the fact that Yongguk won’t be taking part in these promotions means I’ll have a much higher chance of surviving this comeback. (Please take care of yourself and get well soon, Bang Yongguk!)

But B.A.P isn’t the only group killing me with their comeback promotions. Oh no! VIXX is still doing a darn good job of doing me in. I swear, every day they set out on a mission to stop my heart and they’re doing a darn good job of it!

These character trailers have me making the funniest noises! I know, it’s so hard to imagine me squealing over 20+ second trailers focused entirely on a single VIXX member… ㅋㅋㅋ Actually, I’m just counting down the days until Halloween so that all of this painful teasing will finally come to an end. I’m ready to die so just give me the MV already!

In other comeback news, EXO has recently announced the debut of their very first sub-unit and yes, I’m completely unashamed to say that I’m SO FREAKING EXCITED about this! I’ve been dying over Baekhyun’s adorable, albeit slightly ridiculous, role as Prince Eun in Scarlet Heart: Ryeo, so of course I’m going to be excited to have my cute puppy prince back in the spotlight. Even better is the fact that he’s going to be sharing that spotlight with both Chen and Xiumin. *squee*

Though there’s very little to go by in this silly little clip, we know this debut will happen before the end of the month which means we won’t have to wait long to find out what these three have in store for us. Even better, their debut stage will air on M!Countdown November 3rd. (And all the fangirls of the world rejoiced!)

I know I focus a lot on boy groups but there are a few girl group comebacks fans can look forward to. BLACK PINK is scheduled to release their second EP, Square Two on November 1, Hyorin’s solo comeback single, “Love Like This,” is scheduled for October 26, which means we could see that out later today, and TWICE has just comeback with their third EP, TWICEcoaster: LANE 1.

bigbang

Of course what I’m most excited about are the quiet whispers that BIGBANG is scheduled for a comeback later this year. I know we don’t have a lot to go on at the moment but what we do know is that they’ve wrapped up filming on a new MV and are scheduled to start filming a second early next month. Rumor has it that the quintet will be releasing the long-awaited, full-length album MADE, before the end of the year. All I can say at this point is that I really hope these rumors are true. *crosses fingers*

In the world of dramas, my interest has recently been piqued by the release of a trailer for Lee Min Ho’s upcoming drama, Legend of the Blue Sea (푸른 바다의 전설).

The fact that this drama has both Lee Min Ho and dramas is enough to make me interested. I still haven’t recovered from seeing Lee Min Ho in person back in August so of course I’m going to be check out this drama once it starts airing next month.

For those who just can’t get enough of medical dramas, Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim (낭만닥터 김사부), starts airing November 7 on SBS.

I’m not sure I’m ready to take on a medical drama at the moment but who knows? Maybe my never-ending love of Chilbongie will compel me to watch…

There’s so much to squeal over in a day, it’s almost impossible to keep up but as I’ve said before, that doesn’t keep me from trying! The question is, what comeback(s) and/or drama(s) are you most looking forward to? Let me know in the comments below!
