I know I should be working on writing up my recent KCON adventures but I just had to take a break for a moment or two and let my inner fangirl run a little wild. I apologize in advance for what I’m about to do but really, if I try to keep it in any longer, I may actually explode. Because I’m not a fan of personal spontaneous combustion I’m allowing myself a moment to do this…
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!! THEY’RE BACK! THEY’RE BACK! ASTRO IS BACK! AUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! MY HEART! IT CAN’T TAKE ALL THE CUTE! NOOOO! ASTROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MEEEEEEEE!?!

To say I’m slightly excited by Astro’s comeback would be a bit of an understatement… The past couple of weeks have been the most torturous of my life as I’ve anxiously counted down the days to this comeback. Ugh! The torment and teasing of these boys has just about done me in!
But I have survived! Sort of…
The release of Astro’s “Breathless” MV has in such a discombobulated state, I’m not really sure what to do with myself. I’m overwhelmed by the cuteness of the MV itself as it’s everything I want in a cute, fun summer themed video. The use of colors is eye-catching, the soda pop concept is cute and bubbly, just like the adorable actress who stars in this video, and there’s just a fun, albeit silly, feel to the entire video. The entire concept of this video ties in perfectly with the concept of Astro’s debut video which makes it feel more like a continuation of the group’s initial promotions than the second comeback it actually is. This continuity actually works really well for me because it was the group’s irresistible cuteness and overflowing energy that drew me to the in the first place. (Well that and Moonbin’s character *cough* dancing *cough* in To Be Continued.)
I wish I could give you a more in-depth reason as to why I’m so darn over the moon about these boys, but to be perfectly honest, I have no idea. I’m not usually one to fall for the cutesie groups with their adorable concepts and general fluffiness. I’ve resisted so many fluffy groups in the past, their adorable charms never once tempting me to pass beyond the borders of casual admirer… But there’s something about Astro that has hooked me and I’m powerless to resist.
I’m actually okay with being hopelessly in love with Astro. I mean what’s the point of having a bias list if you never have anyone come along to wreck it? As long as Astro remains in the realm of fluffy cuteness, I’ll be alright. It’s just that I’m afraid they’re one day going to cross over in the dark and dangerous world of “kill all the fangirls with our sexy charms” and then I’ll be toast. (I’m lookin’ at you Rocky!) Until that time comes, I’ll just remain as I am, happily allowing the sunshine of their irresistible cuteness illuminate my zombie-filled world.
