TUNE OF THE WEEK: VIXX “Love Equation”

After tormenting me for a month with the promise of a comeback, VIXX released their special single album, Boys’ Record, on Monday and well, I didn’t really have a choice, I simply had to make “Love Equation” my Tune of the Week. ㅋㅋㅋ

Okay, so maybe I didn’t have to make “Love Equation” my Tune of the Week but why the heck wouldn’t I? I mean have you listened to this song? It’s such a wonder remake of R.ef’s original “Love Equation” it’s impossible not to love it! VIXX’s version is every bit as happy and poppy as the original, which is wonderful, but they’ve added their own VIXX touch and well… I’m hooked.

It feels like ages since VIXX made a comeback with a lighter, cuter concept but I’m so happy they did! Their cuteness is irresistible. Their dancing divine. The brightness of their smiles is like the warm light of spring, breaking through the dark clouds of winter… Okay, so maybe I’m getting a little carried away. Sorry about that! VIXX has a way of inspiring my more poetic side.

I know “Love Equation” is all about recovering from a breakup and moving on but somehow the bitterness of the lyrics is lost on me. I blame it on the fact VIXX has decided to reveal their adorable side and gosh darn it! They’re so frickin’ cute my poor zombie brain can’t focus on anything else! I know I’ve said this before and I’m sure I’ll say it again but I really do think VIXX is trying to kill me. I mean really! How the heck am I supposed to handle this level of adorableness? Between Ravi’s wide eyes and Leo’s smiles, Hyukie’s ice cream shenanigans and Ken’s winks, N’s moment of aegyo and Beanie’s innocence there are just too many ways for this fangirl to die! Not that I’m complaining because really, I’m not. I love VIXX for trying to slay me every time they make a comeback. It’s how I know they love me. (HA!)
