Typically when we come to the next to the last episode in a drama, things tend to fall spectacularly to pieces but we’re usually left with at least a small glimmer of hope that things will get better before the end but that is so not the case with Fall in Love With Me and to be perfectly honest, I don’t really care how this drama ends, as long as it ends! SOON! (There’s only so much crazy a zombie can take, you know?)
When Lance stepped in at the end of the last episode and objected to Tian Xing and Huan Huan’s wedding, I thought that maybe, just maybe, he’d actually be able to put a stop to Tian Xing’s idiocy but… No. Instead of stopping anything, Lance’s moment of jealous rage only forced Tian Xing to prove just how big a jerk he really is and boy, is he a jerk! It’s one thing to send the woman you love a TEXT MESSAGE (of all things) to tell her that you’re going to marry someone else but then to confront her, in the middle of your own wedding ceremony, mind you, and tell her that there will never be anything between you ever again is just so… ARUGH! There just aren’t enough words in the English language to describe how awful that whole scene was. Of course Tian Xing only made it worse by ripping the necklace off Le Si’s neck and then using the key to unlock the bracelet which he then left fall to the floor. What a jerk! At least now I have absolutely no qualms with wishing Tian Xing a thousand horrible deaths and I hope at least one of those involves being eaten by dogs…
Once Tian Xing and Huan Huan finished their wedding vows, I spent the entire rest of the episode feeling like I was going to lose my lunch, every time I was subjected to one of Tian Xing’s tender touches and Huan Huan’s stupid, doe-eyed smiles. Seriously! They make me want to puke… And throw things… And set things on fire… And more than anything, I want to punch them both in the face. I really can’t think of anything more repugnant than watching Tian Xing and Huan Huan’s moments as a married couple. BLECH! It’s a good thing the whole sickening lovey-dovey moments of this episode were quickly overshadowed by Lance’s hour-long temper tantrum because had they not been, I might have strapped a bunch of fireworks to my computer and blown the whole thing up.
Speaking of Lance… Can someone please get that boy a therapist, ’cause he’s seriously got some issues to work through! Wowzers! I had no idea a grown man was actually capable of throwing such a temper-tantrum but apparently when you’ve been carrying around a lifetime of emotional scars, anything’s possible. As annoyed as I was by Lance’s jealous fit, I can totally understand and appreciate where he’s coming from. It would seem he’s spent his entire life trying to win the affections of a family who has never looked upon him fondly. Sure, they can respect him as a shrewd businessman but when was the last time either his mom or his sister ever stopped to give the poor boy a hug and tell him how much they loved him? I’m beginning to think Lance has never been told “I love you” by anyone in his family or if he has, it hasn’t been since Tian Xing entered the picture. I have no idea why Auntie and Huan Huan are so ga-ga over Tian Xing but they’ve certainly placed him on a ridiculously high pedestal and Lance has spent years trying to find a way to make his family value him as much as they do Tian Xing. Being unsuccessful on a personal level, it only makes sense that Lance would pour so much time and energy into his business life, I’m sure hoping that his success in the business world would at least gain him the respect from his family he couldn’t get anywhere else. Too bad Lance’s shrewd business mind has only placed him in a negative light. Being too focused on winning has blinded Lance to the ethics of business and he’s sullied his name and reputation as he’s clamored for the top, which means his family can’t respect him in business any more than they respect him at home. Poor Lance. He’s doomed no matter what he does and really, I just feel bad for him. I think at the root of it all, he just wants to be loved. Too bad he can’t find himself a good woman he can run away with. I think saying “adiós” to his family would be as beneficial to Lance as it would have been for Tian Xing.

I have never, ever, seen a wedding stopped by a bride’s brother. Ha! Usually, it’s a lover of either the bride of groom who would stop the wedding. I’m extremely disappointed Tian Xing got married to Huan Huan. Eh, he’s not that innocent to me anymore. I can’t believe Huan Huan is stupid enough to marry Tian Xing when he made it clear that he is doing her a favor or giving her a gift by marrying her. She’s so happy for nothing. She’s in a wheelchair. How happy does she think married life would be? To have them sleep together was so awkward. I would feel like a burden. Lance is just crazy. What did he think would happen anyway once Tian Xing officially joins the family?
Yeah, from the wedding on, I just lost all faith in this show. Nothing the characters did many any sense anymore and I lost all respect for Tian Xing. I went from loving him to hating him and I never recovered. He’s a putz and Le Si needed toma, just write him off and move on. What a weird way to take this drama, especially considering it started off with so much potential.
