One Zombie, Sharing Her Love of all Things Hallyu With The World
Once again a variety of new tunes and MVs were released this week and I’m here to help you catch up on what you might have missed. Happy K-Popping!
With Rain’s comeback well underway, I thought it only fitting to celebrate by marathoning Rain’s 2004 rom-com hit, Full House; which is why I’ve decided to feature it as this week’s Friday Night Drama.
I’m not sure what’s with the trend lately for K-artists to release swing-era inspired tunes but I LOVE IT! That being said, it only makes sense to make Lee Dong Woo’s “Fly With You” my tune of the week.

If you’ve watched K-dramas for any length of time, you’re no stranger to the strange spell the leading men are capable of casting. However, you may not be aware that drama men aren’t the only ones capable of entrancing you with their charming voodoo. Here are four leading anime men whose spells are so powerful you’ve caught yourself wishing they were more than an animated character, despite their shady character.

For American K-Pop fans, the month of January has been a pretty good one, as both U-KISS and CNBLUE have graced our western shores with their presence (and more importantly) a handful of concerts. For those lucky enough to live on one coast or another, these concerts have been a fantastic opportunity to support our beloved K-Pop idols in person but for those of us, doomed to live smack dab in the middle of this K-Pop barren country, that chance seems to be nothing more than an impossible dream.
Once again, this week brought with it an abundance of new music and since it’d be a shame for you to miss out on so much musical goodness, I’ve made it easy for you to catch up on some of the music you might have missed. Enjoy!
1. Rumble Fish “The Virulent Song”
With all of the posts Hallyu Tanya and I have done this week to commemorate the end of Pretty Man, it only makes sense that this week’s drama would be none other.
B1A4 made their comeback this past week with the release of their second full-length album, “Who Am I” and since I’ve been a fan of B1A4 for quite a while, it’s only natural that their ballad single, “Lonely” would win this week’s music spotlight.
Zombie: Being fans of U-KISS (and more specifically, Hoon) it just wouldn’t be right if we ended our review of Pretty Man without doing a little tribute to our favorite little brother, Dae Shik.
Tanya: He’s just adorable… In real life and in character, that is. I appreciate the comic relief he brought to the show through Dae Shik, but also the more serious family moments he helped bring forward. Although he and Bo Tong usually fought, you could tell the love was there. Bo Tong always had her little brother to depend on.

Zombie: So as most of you know, Tanya and I have had a thing for Ma Te’s hair from the very beginning of Pretty Man. We predicted from the get-go that Ma Te’s hair would change with each woman he set out to conquer and wouldn’t you know it, we were right! We both agreed that if Ma Te’s hair changed with each woman, we’d have to do a tribute to Ma Te’s hair in all of it’s varied gloried at the end of the show. Being women of our word we’d like to present to you, without further ado, our homage to Pretty Man Ma Te’s hair. Enjoy!
