Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Emergency Couple Episodes 18-19 (3/3)

Oh Jin Hee - I'm going to start over with you again.jpg

Tanya: I think that we have come to the conclusion that this week’s episodes have been the best of the series so far. And about time because we only have one week left!

Karen: As I mentioned in my review, this week’s episodes had the perfect mix of emergency room drama and love drama. It also didn’t hurt that there weren’t too many negative things going on as well. I’m just waiting for that happy ending next week. Continue reading “Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Emergency Couple Episodes 18-19 (3/3)”

Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Bride of the Century Episodes 11-12 (1/2)

Welcome to another week of Bride of the Century! I spent 2 hours yelling at my screen over the stupidity and just ridiculousness I’ve seen with some of the characters and their actions. My mind is all over the place, but it’s mostly been anger so this will feel like a rant instead. I will extend my apologies ahead of time. HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Emergency Couple Episodes 18-19 (2/4)

Oh Jin Hee looks at Oh Chang Min

Sweet-o! I’m really going to miss Emergency Couple after it ends. I feel like we have rolled past all the major obstacles in this show to get to the sweet and fun moments. Remember how depressing the first two episodes were? Fear not, the drama only gets better and I even want some of the stuff featured in this drama. Continue reading “HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Emergency Couple Episodes 18-19 (2/4)”

Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Emergency Couple Episodes 18-19 (1/3)

Slowly, progress is being made in Emergency Couple as we are winding down to our last two weeks. I am glad that Jin Hee finally got a clue that she hasn’t completely moved away from Chang Min even after all of these years. I don’t understand why it took her seeing her old wedding ring to suddenly bring these feelings back, but I guess something had to be the trigger. While we are talking about feelings here, I understand Chang Min has come to an a good place, the girl you have been chasing after says she likes you. Stop pushing her away! You may want to think that you are doing the right thing, but you are also making it harder on yourself.

Ep10-1.png

Shai: This week was rather eventful with the truth coming out about the curse and all. What did you think about that?
Tanya: I am happy it actually ended up being a test, but that makes you think of the level of crazy that these women have to be every time the first wife has actually died. That means there is so much underlying evil in the people surrounding that family that it is pretty astounding. I am appreciative that Kang Ju came back around, but how is Doo Rim going to tell him the truth?

TUNE OF THE WEEK: Boyfriend “My Avatar” & Super Junior M “Swing”

BFAvatar-1SUJUM-1I’ve taken over ZombieMamma this week and that includes the Tune of the Week. However since it’s not my site, and I like to be a rebel, I’m breaking the rules…. I am bringing you two tunes  because I really could not pick just one. Also, while both groups are essentially Korean, these singles are not. Boyfriend is extremely active in Japan and “My Avatar” is their newest Japanese single. Super Junior is a large group based in Korea, but that little ‘M’ attached to the end means it is their Mandarin subgroup, and thus “Swing” was released in China. Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Bride of the Century Episodes 9-10 (1/2)

Doo Rim and Kang Ju were in the middle of the worst break up at the beginning of this week’s episodes. Doo Rim is still determined to be with Kang Ju, but he doesn’t want to lose her and resists at every turn. Doo Rim ends up going to Yi Kyung’s mother, Ma Jae Ran, asking that if she can change Kang Ju’s mind about marriage can she be the one to actually stay with Kang Ju. The deal is struck as both sides agree. Continue reading “Hallyu Zombie Drama Review: Bride of the Century Episodes 9-10 (1/2)”

FRIDAY NIGHT DRAMA: Personal Taste

Personal TasteHello! This is Karen, filling in for Zombie Mamma this week with a new Friday Night Drama: Personal Taste. If you have seen dramas where the main female lead gets mistaken for a man or has to pretend to be a man without actually switching bodies, then you might find the drama, Personal Taste, to be a refreshing perspective on mistaken identity.  While the main male actor, Lee Min Ho, who plays Jeon Jin Ho, does not transform into a woman, he is mistaken by a tomboy, main female lead, Son Ye Jin, who plays Park Kae In, to be a gay man. With a business agenda in mind, Jeon Jin Ho does not deny being gay in order to become Park Kae In’s roommate in her beautiful, historical hanok (a traditional Korean home), called Sanggojae. Based on Lee Se In’s 2007 novel of the same name, Personal Taste is a light and fun drama that is sure to charm its audience. Continue reading “FRIDAY NIGHT DRAMA: Personal Taste”
