You know, when I woke up this morning and realized I was up early enough to catch part of the 2014 MAMA broadcast live, I was pretty stoked. It’t not every day you get to settle in front of your computer with a cup of coffee and a slice of banana bread and watch so many of your favorite idols perform in one place and I thought to myself, “Oh, what a lovely way to start my day!” I should have known that the calm and peaceful morning I’d been expecting was never going to happen because, well, anything involving K-Pop generally ends in me spazzing. Musings of K-Pop Fangirl: The Dangers of Having an Ultimate Bias

You know, when I first got into K-Pop, I was a pretty casual listener. I’d find a group I liked, give them a listen, appreciate their music and move on. It was a simple life, full of good times and great music but as time went on and my love for K-Pop grew, I began to notice that some bands were stealing a bit more of my time and attention. At the time, I didn’t think much of this, as I chalked it all up to being a fan of the music, but as time went on I found myself skipping over different artists in, what I thought, was an innocent quest to find more music from artists that had somehow managed to catch my eye. RELEASE THE FANGIRL: GOOD GOLLY! BTS IS TRYING TO KILL ME!

Okay, so yesterday BTS released a whole slew of concept photos, saying it was the precursor to their upcoming promotions but we all know it was actually just a sneaky ploy to get fangirls the world-over so flipping excited for the release of their “Hormone War” MV that when the video finally hit YouTube, the entire fandom would fall out of their chairs and start sobbing uncontrollably over its perfection. RELEASE THE FANGIRL: LYn x LEO “Blossom Tears”

I know that Y.Bird’s LYn x LEO collaboration was released a couple of weeks ago but I didn’t have time to squee over it at the time because I was too Leo 2busy getting ready to leave for L.A. and honestly, I was too full of feels to even begin to talk about this amazing video without melting into a giant puddle of fangirl goo.
