As I’m sure many of you know, I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time squealing over the boys of ASTRO and most of that was done between the time they were first announced as a group way back in August 2015 and now. I blame it on the fact they had to make an appearance in a silly little web drama before they made their official debut. You know how I get when I’m watching adorable boys be adorable in a drama… My heart… It just does funny things, all on its own!

So after squealing my way through the mini-drama, To Be Continued, I’ve gone on to impatiently count the days until ASTRO released their first official album. It’s been a very long and painful wait, and one I feared might never end. However, all my fears were laid to rest early last week when ASTRO released this…

Yup! That’s right! ASTRO has finally released their first mini-album and an accompanying MV for “Hide & Seek” is so darn adorable I can’t decide if I want to cry or squeal or swoon or what. (No, I should not be swooning over adorable puppies, I know this. BUT THAT DARN DRAMA RUINED ME FOR EVER AND EVER! Seriously Moonbin! You just need to go away and let this stupid noona die in peace!)

I had no idea what type of concept ASTRO would debut with so I had no expectations there. I knew it would have to be full of cuteness because these boys are just so darn young. It’s hard to pull of a sexy concept when you’re 12 and I wouldn’t want them to try. (Okay, they’re not 12 but still… When you’re the mother of a 12 year-old, anyone with a 1 at the beginning of their age is always 12. That’s just the way it goes. Except for… NOPE! I’m not even gonna go there!) As is usually the case with idol groups, I’m sure as the group ages their concepts will mature (*cough*GOT7*cough*) which means I’ll probably regret my decision to ever fall into this K-Pop Wonderland, but that time feels far off to me at the moment. Until that time comes, I’m going to enjoy ASTRO as a group of adorable munchkins and I’m going to sing and dance along to all their music because I’m just so darn happy they’ve finally released an album! Seriously, I’m so happy I think I may have to throw a party. Anyone wanna come? I’ll make cookies!
