A CITY, A CONCERT AND A ZOMBIE

Group 2

Hey there everyone! I know I don’t have any of my regular Friday posts up this week and for that I’m sorry. I just wanted to let you know that I’m still here, I’m just slightly busy at the moment… Something about BTS being in my city… and a concert… and… Yeah. For those of you who may be headed to TRB tonight in Chicago, I hope you get all the winks and smiles and body rolls and fan-service you could every hope to have. I hope the amazing talent of BTS leaves you in awe and if you happen to shed a few tears of joy, know that you’re not alone. (Yes, sometimes even zombies cry when they’re happy.) If you’re at the concert tonight and you happen to see someone walking around with bright pink hair and glasses, looking so insanely happy she might actually explode, that would probably be me. I’d be more than happy if you stopped me for a second to say hi or squee over a bias or two… or three or four or seven… I’m always a fan of meeting new people and making new friends! Hope to see you there!

ONE OK ROCK IS COMING TO CHICAGO!

OOR

Last week, while taking my daily stroll through the Twitter-verse, I happened upon a Tweet from one of my favorite venues here in Chicago, The House of Blues, which very nearly knocked me out of my chair and this is what it said… Continue reading “ONE OK ROCK IS COMING TO CHICAGO!”

AN EPIK EVENING: Concert Photos of Epik High in Chicago

As is usually the case when I shoot a concert, I have far more pictures than I need and since I think it’s such a shame to have pics just sitting in a folder on my computer, not being used, I decided to put some of them here with the hopes that you’ll enjoy them just as much as I. So feel free to do just that. Save ’em, share ’em, do what makes you happy. It’s all good.

RELEASE THE FANGIRL: TEASING ME TO DEATH

10

So we all know BTS is scheduled to make a comeback at the end of this month and OH HOLY FLIP! I’m so dang excited I feel like I’m gonna explode! I mean is there an ARMY in the world who isn’t on the verge of dying at the moment? Surely I’m not alone in my fangirl freak-out! Am I? Continue reading “RELEASE THE FANGIRL: TEASING ME TO DEATH”

RELEASE THE FANGIRL! OH HELP! BTS IS TRYING TO KILL ME!

Group 2

Okay, so in the past week I’ve painted half a house, packed a different house, moved to a new state, unpacked a zillion boxes and have basically run myself ragged and with all of this crazy “real life” stuff, which means I’ve been completely unable to properly squee over BTS. Until now… Continue reading “RELEASE THE FANGIRL! OH HELP! BTS IS TRYING TO KILL ME!”

WHEN A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS: VIXX IN CHICAGO (Part 2)

Ken, Hongbin, N, Leo, Hyuk 1

Well, it took me a while to get through all my concert pictures but I finally did and, as promised, I’m ready to share them with the world. I hope you enjoy this second set of pictures as much as the first and I hope it brings back as many fond memories of this night spent with VIXX as it does for me. Enjoy! WHEN A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS: VIXX IN CHICAGO (Part 1)

Group 1

Okay, so here’s the deal. I have tons of pictures from VIXX’s concert in Chicago that I will never be able to use because I just can’t write enough articles about them and the concert to warrant using over 1200 pictures, so rather than let them go to waste, just sitting on my computer, I’ve decided to just put them all up here and let you enjoy them as you will. Just so you know, I’ve only gotten through about half my pictures so there will be more coming in the near-ish future but I hate making you wait for them when I have all of these ready to go. So, enjoy these pics of VIXX in Chicago and if you want to know what it was like to actually be at this concert, you can read all about my experience here. Musings of K-Pop Fangirl: The Dangers of Having an Ultimate Bias

Group 1

You know, when I first got into K-Pop, I was a pretty casual listener. I’d find a group I liked, give them a listen, appreciate their music and move on. It was a simple life, full of good times and great music but as time went on and my love for K-Pop grew, I began to notice that some bands were stealing a bit more of my time and attention. At the time, I didn’t think much of this, as I chalked it all up to being a fan of the music, but as time went on I found myself skipping over different artists in, what I thought, was an innocent quest to find more music from artists that had somehow managed to catch my eye.
