Meeting up with Lola after Sunday night’s Red Carpet, we made our way over to the Staples Center, to join in the tens of thousands of other fans in line, waiting to get in. With so many people attending the final concert of KCON 2016, it took us a while to get in and find our seats. Everyone knows that spending an evening at a KCON concert is pretty much one of the most amazing experiences any K-Pop fan could ever have, aside from actually meeting a bias in person. It’s just one of those experiences that pretty much every K-Pop fan in the world dreams of being a part of, at least once in their life, and for good reason. With nothing official to do at KCON until that afternoon, I let myself sleep in a bit on Saturday morning. It was nice, not having to rush straight over to the Prudential Center and I especially enjoyed a nice, relaxing breakfast with my friend. Once properly caffeinated, we gathered up our things, checked out of the hotel and made our way back to Newark, ready to enjoy another Hallyu-filled day of fun. I have an ever-growing bucket list designated just for K-Pop which really, is more like a wish list of groups I want to see in person before I die, and on that list EXO has ranked high for a very, very long time. So when it was announced all those months ago, that one of the stops EXO would be making during their North American tour was Chicago, well, I very nearly dropped dead right then and there. However, I somehow managed to keep myself together long enough to buy a ticket (which also nearly killed me) and endure the endless countdown of days that ultimately brought me to D-Day. Concert Day. Better known as the day the zombie and about 4,000 other fans lost their hearts to the eight adorable members of EXO that fateful Friday night. After months and months of impatiently waiting, the day to make one of my biggest fangirl dreams come true is FINALLY HERE!!!
Today I’m headed to the city to meet up with a friend I haven’t seen in 14 years and see my very favorite Japanese rock band, One OK Rock. (I’m also unofficially celebrating my birthday, which was actually at the beginning of the month but I’m celebrating it now by going to the concert and indulging in a mini-shopping spree at the K-Pop Store in Chinatown. ă…‹ă…‹ă…‹) Talk about an awesome way to spend the day!

I’m so flipping excited about this concert I haven’t been able to sleep most of the night (which is why I’m writing this at 5:20 in the morning). I’ll probably be the full embodiment of a zombie by the time the concert rolls around but hey, that’s what coffee is for, right?
If you’re one of the lucky ones headed to Chicago’s House of Blues this evening and you see a zombified fangirl walking around with super short, dark, spiky hair and glasses (yes, I chopped off all my pink hair *sobs*) be sure to stop me and say hi! I always love meeting new people and making new friends! If I don’t see you at the concert, you can always come back here (or find me on SNS) and we can squee over the concert together! (If you didn’t know already, I’m very good at squeeing!)
My adventures on Friday must have worn me out because I actually slept in until 7 Saturday morning! Woohoo! Of course everyone else in my room had the good sense to still be asleep at 7 so I got myself dressed and headed to the hotel lobby to call home and tell the family I was still alive and well.
